This collection consists of papers relating to the Brig _Nancy_ and its first voyage from Philadelphia, Pa., to Cape Francois, Haiti. The papers include bills sent to Eyre for outfitting his ship, a wage agreement between the ship's master and its seamen, a list of the ship's freight, and a certificate confirming the landing of goods at Cape Francois. There is also some correspondence to Eyre from the ship's captain, William Brewster, from a business associate, Peter Dorey, and from a French merchant, J.B. Legoy. This correspondence was written at Cape Francois and contains commercial information.
